Mora Companion Fans, In the spirit of many of the Mora enthusiasts who have
modified there trusty companion to suit their needs I've developed a
sheath accessory to the Basic & Pro series which incorporates a
ferro fire steel (flint), a powerful AAA LED flashlight, and a
convenient Nylon pouch which can be used to store additional
accessories. The Utility Sleeve, as
I've dubbed it, is printed with black TPU filament. The material is a
type of urethane which is amazing strong but flexible enough to conform
to the shape of the factory sheath. Retention of the sleeve to the factory sheath is accomplished with removable strap which secures to the button of the sheath. The pouch is retained to the sleeve via the snap belt loop
feed thru the vertical slot printed in the sleeve. The pouch is easily
removed should you choose not to use it. While supplies last, I am offering a variant on the listing which includes a brand new Mora Robust . Details of the Robust are as follows: The Morakniv Craftline Robust Trade Knife features an extra-thick, 3.6 x
0.125-inch carbon steel fixed blade. High carbon steel achieves high
hardness, sharpens easily and is exceptionally tough. The Morakniv Robust has an
impact-resistant, ergonomic TPE rubber handle with coil-formed rounding
that provides extra grip and control. A finger guard provides additional
safety. Included with the knife is a hard plastic Combi-Sheath, which
provides a quick-connect feature for attaching a second knife and
sheath. Morakniv has been manufacturing the highest quality knives in
Mora, Sweden since 1891. Limited lifetime manufacturer's warranty. Included in the kit is the following:
3D Printed Utility Sleeve & Pouch Ring
5/16" Flint for sparking 1000's of fires AAA LED Flashlight Nylon pouch (1.3"x2.4"x5" capacity) Mora Robust (option) Disclaimer: This kit is for the Utility Sleeve, ferro-rod, flashlight, pouch and a Mora Robust (optional). It does NOT include the Swiss Army knife
used to depict the use of the pouch. As this is a 3D printed part there
may be some minor blemishes due to the printing process. This in no
way weakens or affects the functionality of the sleeve. If you are
looking for something with a polished factory finish, please check back
with me in the future as I might be tooling up to have these molded.
Sparking of the ferro-rod is done with a 90 degree burred edge, or in a
pinch a sharpened blade. Mora enthusiasts typically grind or file the
spine of the knife for that purpose. Instructional videos on how to do
so can easily be found on YouTube by searching "Morakniv 90 degrees". Buy with confidence. This Utility Sleeve has been designed and made by yours truly in the USA.
